SCOPE AND CONTENT
This accession includes photographs, letters of correspondence, postcards and other miscellaneous pertaining to the Doan [Doane] family of Sullivan County, Tennessee. Items appear to have belonged to Oliver B. Doane, son of William Doane, both of whom were mentioned in the documents.


BIOIGRAPHICAL NOTE
Ruby Watkins King (donor) married Truett King (1928-1974). She was the daughter of Henry and Stella Baker Watkins of Sullivan Co., TN.  The collection largely involves William Doan [Doane] (1812-1886) and several of his children who were born in Sullivan Co., TN between 1841 and 1865.
