This collection consists solely of a portrait of Samuel Slaughter (1831-1907) of Sullivan Co., TN. Portrait is 16" x 20", unframed. Samuel Slaughter was the son of Abraham Slaughter and Polly Ragle. Samuel married Mary Ford.

Samuel Slaughter (1831-1907) was the son of Abraham Slaughter and Polly Ragle of Sullivan Co., TN.  Samuel married Mary M. Ford (1836-1908), daughter of Frederick T. C. Ford and Rachel Shipley.
